KV IIT, Guwahati invites applications for the following positions.
1. Name of post: Post Graduate Teacher(PGT) for all subjects
Essential Qualification:
1.Two years Integrated post Graduate M.Sc. Courses of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject or Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects
a) PGT (English )- English
b) PGT (Hindi) – Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at Graduate level.
c)PGT (Maths)- Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
d) PGT (Physics )- Physics / Electronics /Applied Physics / Nuclear Physics.
e) PGT (Chemistry )- Chemistry / Bio.Chem.
PGT(Biology) – Botany/ Zoology / Life Sciences / Bio Science / Genetic / Micro Biology / Bio Technology/ Molecular Bio./Plant Physiology provided they have studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.
i)PGT (Commerce) -Master’s degree in Commerce. However holder of Degree of M.Com in Applied /Business Economics shall not be eligible.
j)PGT(Economics)-Economics/Applied Economics/ Business Economics
2. B.Ed. or equivalent degree from recognized University
3. Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English media.
Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications.
2. Name of post: Trained Graduate Teacher(TGT) for Maths, English, social Science,Hindi and Sanskrit
Essential Qualification:
i) Four years Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate:
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects / combination of subjects and in aggregate. The electives subjects and Languages in the combination of subjects as under with B Ed degree.CTET-2 qualified candidates will be preferred.
For TGT (Sanskrit ) Sanskrit as a subject in all the three years.
a) For TGT (English): English a subject in all the three years.
b) For TGT (S.St.): Any two of the following: History, Geography Economics and Political Science of which one must be either History or Geography.
c) For TGT (Maths) Bachelor Degree in Maths with any two of the following subjects: Physics ,Chemistry ,electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.
d) ) For TGT (Hindi): Hindi a subject in all the three years.
3. Name of post: Primary Teacher
Essential Qualification:
a) Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent with JBT, or equivalent. CTET-1 qualified candidates will be preferred.
b) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
c) Competence to teach through Hindi & English media.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Computer Applications
4. Name of post: Post Graduate Teacher (Computer Science )
Essential Qualification:
At least 50% marks in aggregate in any of the following:
1. B.E. or B.Tech. (Computer Science /IT) from a recognized University or equivalent Degree or Diploma from an institution/ university recognized by the Govt. of India.OR B.E or B.Tech. (any stream ) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computers form recognized University
OR
M.Sc. ( computer Science )/ MCA or Equivalent from a recognized University
OR
B.Sc. (Computer Science ) / BCA or Equivalent and Post Graduate degree in any subject from a recognized University
OR
Post Graduate Diploma in Computer and Post Graduate degree in any subject form recognized University.
OR
‘B’ Level from DOEACC and Post Graduate degree in any subject.
OR
‘C’ Level from ‘DOEACC’ Ministry of information and Communication Technology and Graduation.

5. Name of post: Computer Instructor
Essential Qualification:
B.E or B. Tech. (Computer Science) /BCA/MCA/M.Sc (Computer Science), M.Sc (Electronics with computer science component) M.Sc (IT) /B.Sc. (Computer Science) OR Bachelor’s /Master Degree in any Science subject/Mathematics from Govt. recognized University with post graduate diploma in computer application from Govt. recognized University/ Institute OR Post Graduate Degree in any subject with post graduate diploma in computer application from Govt. recognized University/ ‘O ‘Level from DOEACC OR Post Graduate Degree in any subject with minimum ‘A ‘Level from DOEACC.
2. Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English.
6. Name of post: Yoga Teacher
Essential Qualification:
Graduation in any subject or equivalent from a recognized University with One year training in YOGA from a recognized institution.
7. Name of post: Vocational Instructor Sports/ Games
Essential Qualification:
Reputed sports persons, coaches in the field of sports, Games, Athletics etc.
8. Name of post: Nurse
Essential Qualification:
Diploma in Nursing
9. Name of post: Counselor
Essential Qualification:
M.A./M.Sc.(Psychology) from a recognized College or University and one year post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counseling.
OR
M.A./M.Sc.M.Com with B.Ed./M.Ed. from a recognized University and one year post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counseling.
Desirable Qualification:-
Minimum of one year experience in providing career/ Educational Counseling to students at school

Working knowledge and experience in placement Bureaus.

Registration with rehabilitation Council of India as Vocational Counselor
